Over the past few months, we’ve spent a lot of time in the kitchen, mixing almond flour, coconut flour, and coconut oil to bring you three (that’s right, THREE) different, delicious cookies that are all: grain free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and non GMO. And now, it is our honor to share them with you! Which is why, when we went grain free, cookies were one of the first sweet treats we recreated-so we could continue to share in these beautiful memories together. From cooking hundreds of cookies in the kitchen with our Grandma Campos before family weddings, to picking up hojarascas from our local bakery in Laredo, cookies have been central to a lot of heartfelt memories. Yes, this is a very exciting moment for us, too! You see, cookies have a special place in our family’s heart. Enter our latest creation: GRAIN FREE MEXICAN COOKIES! Our latest problem to solve? Having something nostalgic, delicious, and fun to eat when we want something sweet.
What sort of problems, you ask? Well, generally: not being able to enjoy beloved heritage-inspired foods not feeling included in cultural festivities and traditions due to dietary restrictions and not finding tasty alternatives for everyday staples, made from simple, natural ingredients.
At Siete, our product innovation stems, in part, from solving problems. Tortillas, tortilla chips, hot sauce, quesos, taco shells, taco seasoning, enchilada sauces-a list of some of our favorite foods, no doubt.
